Built to Last

Here at Surf Stronger HQ we are fond of things that are built to last. It might be a bomber pair of 1960's RayBan Wayfarers, or a rusted out solid single speed cruiser. Or maybe it's a beat-down Japanese motors grambler that just won't quit. Or, it might even be a surfboard! Yes, a surf board that is built to last -- a rarity in this day and age.

Check out Todd's late 80s model Pearson Arrow thruster, for example. Shaped by the venerable and legendary Santa Cruz shaper, Ward Coffey, this was Todd's board when he was but a young worried lad. The board's been to Hawaii, Mexico, and all up and down the CA coast. Took it out today at one of SC's best beach breaks and guess what? It went really well! Even made it "whistle" on a few waves! This is a 21 year old board and it still goes great!
